COBAINS PRIMARY SCHOOL UPGRADE A STEP CLOSER

Tuesday, 18 July 2017

Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Harriet Shing, today announced that students at Cobain Primary School are a step close to the facilities they deserve, with AOA Architects appointed to design a $800,000 upgrade of the school.

This project will upgrade and modernise facilities at Cobains Primary School, including the refurbishment of classrooms and facilities that are in poor condition.

These works will target facilities that need it most, ensuring that students learn in facilities that are commensurate with the delivery of modern education.

The Andrews Labor Government is building the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.

The project is part of a $2.5 billion investment by the Government in the past three Budgets to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.

This school building boom has delivered more than 1,000 school upgrades and 56 new school projects across the state, supporting almost 5000 construction jobs for Victorians.
