UPGRADING MOOROOLBARK SCHOOLS BRICK BY BRICK

Students in Mooroolbark will soon have access to the first-rate classrooms and facilities they deserve, with work under way upgrading Mooroolbark Secondary College.
Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing today turned the first sod to start construction on the school’s $7 million upgrade, which will help it deliver a 21st century education.
Melbcon has been appointed to build the upgrade, which will include construction of a new administration building and upgrading and modernising classrooms and facilities.
Mooroolbark Secondary College’s upgrade will create local jobs, with work expected to be completed by February 2021.
Under the Andrews Labor Government’s school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open by 2026, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
The Andrews Labor Government has invested $5.6 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
