FIRST MULLOWAY STOCKING FOR TAMBOON INLET

Tamboon Inlet, near Cann River in East Gippsland, was stocked with 5,000 mulloway yesterday for the first time ever to improve recreational fishing opportunities for anglers. Member for Eastern Victoria, Harriet Shing said it was all part of the Andrews Labor Government’s Target One Million plan to get more people fishing, more often.

INVESTMENTS TO REPLACE AND UPGRADE GIPPSLAND POLICE STATIONS

The Andrews Labor Government has delivered on its commitment to ensure safer communities in country Victoria, with a package to upgrade police facilities across Gippsland, including a new police station in Mallacoota. The Government will spend $36.8 million to replace or refurbish regional and rural police stations and residences, so that police officers in country Victoria have safe and modern facilities.

$3.8 MILLION FOR FEDERATION TRAINING TO BOOST LEARNING SUPPORT

The Andrews Labor Government is restoring Federation Training’s Community Service funding, with a $3.79 million boost to support vulnerable students. Member for Eastern Victoria, Harriet Shing visited Federation Training’s Warragul campus to announce the Community Service funding, which is part of the Labor Government’s $320 million TAFE Rescue Fund.
