Residents of Gippsland can now vote for their favourite local projects with 176 ideas across Gippsland
Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Harriet Shing today announced the projects that will be seeking support in a Victorian first that will make our communities better places to live.
Residents aged 16 and over can now vote for their favourite project ideas in their local community.
Voters can visit the Pick My Project website (pickmyproject.vic.gov.au) to register and select their local community by searching for their street address or suburb, or by dropping a pin on the map.
The Andrews Labor Government funded the $30 million Pick My Project fund in the Victorian Budget 2018/19.
The funding has been divided between the six metropolitan and nine regional partnership areas, with at least $1 million in funding available for the Inner Metro region.
Project ideas with the most votes in each area will get the opportunity to enter into a funding agreement for their project, with between $20,000 and $200,000 available for each project idea.
Voting is open until 5pm, Monday 17 September 2018. For more information, visit pickmyproject.vic.gov.au.
