MORE NIGHT COACH SERVICES FOR GIPPSLAND
Monday 30 October, 2017
A new Night Coach service is being introduced from Traralgon to Melbourne on Friday and Saturday nights to help get people home sooner and safer.
Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing today announced the new 10.00pm service will start on 24 November and stop at Morwell, Moe, Warragul and Pakenham Stations – allowing people to explore regional Victoria and still get back late on weekends.
The 2:00am service from Melbourne to Traralgon will now also stop at Newborough and Morwell East, giving more passengers from more regional destinations a chance to get home.
The new Traralgon to Melbourne Night Coach is one of a number of new late-night coach services being introduced between Melbourne and regional areas on Friday and Saturday nights by the Andrews Labor Government.
The new services add to the Night Coach services first introduced as part of the Labor Government’s Night Network initiative which began in January 2016.
Night Network gives Victorians access to all-night public transport on Melbourne’s train, tram and bus services on Friday and Saturday nights and Night Coaches to major regional destinations.
Passenger information and timetables on the new services will be available from Thursday 26 October at staffed V/Line stations and at ptv.vic.gov.au.
