Wednesday, 27 March 2019
Students in Mount Evelyn will soon have access to the first-rate classrooms and facilities they deserve, with work underway to upgrade the Yarra Ranges Special Development School.
Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Harriet Shing, today announced that Bowden Corporation Pty Ltd has been appointed to deliver Yarra Ranges Special Development School’s $1.1 million upgrade, which will provide a bright and modern working environment for teachers and staff, and help students to reach their full potential.
The upgrade will see the demolition of the existing relocatable administration building and construction of a new permanent administration building.
Under the Andrews Labor Government’s school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open over the next eight years, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
The Labor Government has invested $3.8 billion in delivering more than 1,300 school upgrades and supporting almost 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
