UPGRADING MORWELL SCHOOLS BRICK BY BRICK

Students in Morwell will soon have access to the first-rate classrooms and facilities they deserve, with work under way upgrading Kurnai College (Morwell Campus).
Member for Eastern Victoria, Harriet Shing MP today announced commencement of construction on Kurnai College’s $1.5 million upgrade, which will help it deliver a 21st century education.
Farnham Developments has been appointed to build the upgrade, which will include the building of a Library.
Kurnai College’s upgrade will create local jobs, with work expected to be completed by December 2020.
Under the Andrews Labor Government’s school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open by 2026, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
The Andrews Labor Government has invested $6.1 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 7,500 construction jobs for Victorians.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
