VICTORIAN LANDCARE GRANTS APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE IN OMEO DISTRICT
Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Harriet Shing MP has welcomed the opening of the Victorian Landcare Grants in the North East CMA region, allowing local community environment groups to apply for up to $20,000 for environmental or sustainable agricultural projects.
The Andrews Labor Government has committed $2 million in 2015-16 for the next round of Victorian Landcare Grants (VLG) across the state.
As well as funding on-ground works, the VLG program also provides maintenance grants to existing groups and start-up grants for new groups.
These grants will help to offset operating costs and provide a stable base for Landcare across Victoria.
The North East Catchment Management Authority is now calling for applications for this year’s program.
• Maintenance Grants of up to $500
• Start-up Grants of up to $500 for a group or $1,000 for a network
• Project Grants of up to $20,000
New and existing Landcare groups and networks across the North East CMA region are able to apply for a grant to address local environmental priorities.
The North East CMA VLG applications close at 9.00am on Monday 24 August 2015.
Application forms and guidelines are available at http://www.necma.vic.gov.au/Get-Involved/Project-Opportunities/Victorian-Landcare-Grants . For assistance in completing applications forms email landcare@necma.vic.gov.au or call (02) 6043 7600.
