BOOSTING SAFETY AND RELIABILITY ON LATROBE ROADS
Friday, 10 May 2019
More local roads, bridges and intersections will be upgraded across regional and rural Victoria as part of the Andrews Labor Government’s Fixing Country Roads Program, meaning safer and more reliable journeys for drivers.
Latrobe City Council has secured a portion of the $70 million in second round funding for additional road improvement projects.
Black Tank Road and Railway Avenue at Glengarry will be sealed as part of the Fixing Country Roads Program, boosting safety for motorists and locals. Macpherson Road, Newborough and Buckleys Road, Hazelwood North will also be sealed.
Round one projects are on track for completion by mid-2019, while round two projects must be delivered by June 30, 2020.
